This semester I taught the first digital sociology capstone course in our Master’s of Digital Sociology program.
In all of my classes I use the final class session to “zoom” back out to the big picture of why we have been talking about what we have talked about all semester. This course got the same treatment, but on a different medium.
I used screencast to do my first voice-over-slide-deck thingy. I have rejected these for a long time because I have rarely seen a good one that wasn’t produced by high-level animation and design experts. I am not that.
You can see what happens when you do not know what you’re doing. I overestimated the video quality of screen edit and I did not nail the pacing.
